Dragon Sugar

The First time I heard about Dragon Sugar It was back almost one millennia ago, and I was surprised to hear that the Salt Druids were referring to it as a true sweet salt. Dragon Sugar is undistinguishable from regular white sugar when looking at it or by its scent, but when tasted it so sweet that even a small dash can replace a large portion of regular white sugar.

The secret to this sweet splendor is known only to the ever so secretive Salt Druids, and even most of the members within the Order of The Salt Druids do not know much about Dragon Sugar, other than it is approved as a salt for their most holy days of salt worship, which before the Dragon Sugar used to be limited to a very salty meal palate with few options.

The during the Dragon Month and especially during the 9 day tail week, Dragon Sugar sweets, and sweetened foods of all kinds are consumed all over Thalmariea.

Dragon Sugar is in spite of popular belief not very popular among most dragons, the exceptions are Salt Dragons, Green Dragons and most of the ocean dwelling dragons that has acquired quite a Dragon Sugar Sweet tooth.

The cults of Methin and Swoltia also swear to rather use of Dragon Sugar in their ritualistic meals, though they also use many other spices, salts and sweet variants that nature offers us.

I find for myself Dragon Sugar to be a bit too sweet; maybe I am just old fashion, as an elf of before Sharisnai I would still rather have some honey or brown sugar with my meals.

The Golden Law of Marriage and Combining

The Lanifoel Law on Marriage and also the similar law of combining, was drafted by myself, Mester Dominae Lurius I of Lanifoel centuries ago based on the golden rules established by the Druids millennia ago, only confirming into law what usually have been followed and been guided by all the Drudic Orders.

The Lanifoel Marriage Law
Thus there are no kinds allowed to marry their offspring, or relatives there off unless these are at least three circles removed from each other.

The first circle is the Offspring itself and its twinned, trinned, quads and so on within the same circle. The first circle also count any later offspring added later by the same married couple. The first circle from these children are counted their parents, siblings, and their own children.

The second circle counts for all relatives of the first circle, meaning half siblings, and also the children of any of the first circle relatives, and half children of the first circle relatives. Grand parents are considered to be second circle but all their off springs of grandparents in first order is always considered to be first circle to the grandparents making them both first and second circled. Adopted family members are considered to be one circle farther away than if they were blood children thereof. Making a adoptive child a second circle relative to its parents, and its grandparents, and to its non-blood related siblings.

The third circle count for all relatives that are of the next order, after the second circle, making them the children and relatives of the second order of the second order when counted from the perspective of anyone of the first order. may this be a parent, child, sibling, parents sibling, grandparents, grandchild, grand relative or anyone of the first order removed when looking at the case of adopted opp spring, as long as there are no blood relationship.

Punishment
The punishment there of for breaking the Lanifoel Law of Marriage as described here is to abolish the clergy there of from ever communing Marriage, and for the persons committing themselves to an unlawful circling is to to be separated from each other for all time, and any children of these unlawful unions are to be sanctified and purified by the most holy druidic rituals of the Order of Salt.

The Lanifoel Law of Combining
The law of combining is followed in animal husbandry, and follow the exact rules described in the law of marriage, this keeps the bloodlines of animal safe, and prevent abuse of all sorts. Animal in the wild were followed by the druids for eons to ensure the best bonding of them in the wild following the exact same rules as how we now do according to the law of combining for animal husbandry.

Punishment
The punishment for breaking the Lanifoel law of combining of animals in husbandry is as follows, the flock of the one that broke this rule are to be removed from them, and handed over to others that have not broken the law of combining, thus proven themselves to be worthy of communing healthy and whole worthy animal husbandry. The one that broke the law of combining are never allowed to ever let animals be combined again, meaning they can still own one of each kind of any animal but never combination of the same, more than one individual animal.

This is an excerpt from the popular Food for Fame and Gluttony a Cook book by Mester Dominae Lurius I of Lanifoel written in 1134ES, chapter 6 Recipes of the Svirfneblish Kind.

Flip the buttered Xemlimfbsa using the knife, let each side sizzle for a few minutes before flipping them over again repeat this five times.

Beasts of Burden Chapter 34: The Domesticated Svirfel Sheep, Svirfel Milk Soap and other Svirfel Products

Beasts of Burden Chapter 34: The Domesticated Svirfel Cave Sheep in a book by Mester Dominae Lurius I of Lanifoel, completed in 1140ES.

The Svirfel is considered the most important creature by the svirfneblin and they love all the products made from all parts of this cave dwelling relative of the Common Sheep.

Svirfel Milk, this milk is nutritious and svirfneblin use this milk for all their basic food items, svirfel cheese and svirfel milk butter even have a more broad base and is considered a executive delicacy in Lanifoel, and the most popular place to snack on Svirfel Cheese, drink some fresh svirfel milk or have svirfel butter toast is at Dlimsurl & Nefblus' Ildvann & Droger.

Another major use for svirfel milk butter, is in svirfelblish soap, made from pure svirfel butter, for many me included the svirfelblish soap smells quite badly, though it actually is a decent soap, that washes of even the worst grease and grime. Svirfneblins say the soap has a lovely aroma but most would agree it smells like fish. Outside of the known svirfneblin communities few buy and use svirfelblish soap with the exception of the scrappia gnomes, which loves it and import large quantities to their surface settlements for their daily use.

The wool from the svirfel sheep is quite similar to wool from the common surface sheep, and is used in the same way. Svirfneblins are known to blend the wool with rockwool for their clothes.

Svirfel leather is of high quality and it is said the best parchment can be made from the skin of the svirfel.

Svirfel veal, this is truly a tasty meat, though beware the svirfneblin like it salty, so unless one have a true salt tooth, one better have someone else than a svirfneblin or gnome prepare the meat.

Svirfel blood, this might be rather disgusting to many as the still warm blood of a newly slaughtered svirfel are commonly used as a refreshing drink by the svirfneblin, and the blood does not spoil for months. Svirfel blood is also used to make svirfelwine, which sometime is referred to as bloodwine by surface dwellers. Some say vampires find this non-humanoid blood based wine to be even better than the blood of an elf. Though if this is rumors or true I could not say. The most secretive use of Svirfel Blood is in prepared according to the ancient and secret recipie for Svirel Blood Powder, this powder is usually produced by the town Salt Druids, the blood powder is treasured by both magic user, preasts and alchemists all over Thalmariea. Some say this secretive Blood Powder trade is even one of the single most valuable export from Svirfneblin communities.

Svirfel bone, now the bone of svirfel is harder than most bone, and primitive svirfneblish cave writings show how the early gnomes of the deep used the svirfel bones as clubs of weapons, spiked with shards of crystal rock. Svirfel bone is also used to make Bone flour, which is used in svirfeblish pastries, meals and usually is a major ingredient in their cooking.

Svirfel manure, now this is one horrible smelling natural substance to use, but it is also the best one can find for myceliac agriculture of the deep, and also works wonders when applied to anything of the real of plant to grow, treants have even known to uproot themselves and run into a frenzy to get some svirfel manure. Drow are allergic to svirfel and hate the scent of Svirfel and would go great length to avoid them and especially the foul smelling svirfel manure. Some svirfneblins even make their own drow slaying poison from the manure. Though most of them Simply use it to build a Drow safe barrier, which at best keep the drow away and at worst keep them away long enough while they apply safe to drow tactics for handling this most stenched form of fortifications.

Wynsheleinxmey - The Purple Sun

Wynsheleinxmey, the star where the first dragons planet were circling.

In the most ancient of dragonic legends they mention Wynsheleinxmey, the great purple sun, a now lost world were the Dragons ancient homeworld Yngartash still exists, little are mentioned why the dragons had to abandon the cradle of Dragonkind, but the great Dragon Astrologers have never given up finding their lost world. Scrying the sky in multiple worlds, dimensions and even the boundaries of time to unlock the lost knowledge of the first dragons.

There are few greater insults to a dragon stargazer by us lesser humanoids, than to mention that one of their new found, charted and described rare purple star in the constellations of the night sky is not purple but blue, and on numerous occasions such insults have resulted in the visiting astronomer ending up as the dragons next lunch. In my own work I have found Dragons see many things differently than us, void of dragon blood, and one better leave it at that.

Mester Dominae Lurius I of the academician circle of Lanifoel on the topic of Wynsheleinxmey.
